If you?ve ever had dreams of changing the world and making an impact, those aspirations will be rekindled by this Biblical story, featuring the prophet Samuel and Israel?s new king, Saul. Liam Goligher will remind us that every time we open our mouths to share the gospel, we offer the world the best gift it could ever receive!
In 1 Samuel chapter 11, we find Israel surrounded by enemies on all sides and facing a powerful, evil Ammonite king. While it may seem like a bleak scene, the Bible tells us that we too are in the midst of a constant holy war, surrounded by a sinful world that is in opposition to the Kingdom of God. Scripture tells us that we need to be quick to obey and trust God and slow to give in to the world?s temptations. Let?s listen as Liam teaches us these truths, using Saul and the Israelites as examples?

Believers must be in the business of tearing down idols ? and that includes anything that presents itself as a rival to God. We so badly want control over our own lives, but as we listen to Liam today, he?ll remind us why total desperation is sometimes the very best place to be?
